Sea Otters
This is a new high point in my wildlife hobby. Capturing these floating cuties was incredibly challenging but so so worth it. I took over 1800 shots and ended up with a handful that I truly enjoyed.
The high swell and constant rocking made photographing almost impossible. Coupled with the harsh midday light and it wasn’t ideal to say the least.
I didn’t know that the lighter coloured ones were elderly sea otters. The brownish, darker faced ones were playful juveniles. The naturalist on tour said these guys are prone to arthritis when they become older and have back problems.
Utterly speechless at how fortunate I am in capturing this little moment of two friends hugging and laughing.
