Where Light Meets Life
Nature rarely repeats a moment — as a photographer, my mission is to capture and transform these fleeting, high-drama interactions into timeless pieces of art.
From broad, moody landscapes to intimate, 'in-your-face' wildlife portraits, my portfolio is available for those who value authenticity and cherish our local wildlife
Richmond has a lot of biodiversity. From the annual migration of Snow Geese to Eagles and Ospreys in Iona Beach, we are surrounded by an abundance of wildlife. Nature never goes out of style, and my mission is to document the raw resilience and beauty of our city’s ecosystem.
As with anything in photography, being at the right time and place is key to capturing the little miracles we experience every day. Most of my work was taken in and around Richmond to showcase the magic and majesty of our surroundings.
If you like what you see, feel free to buy a digital print or two. It means a lot to me personally to see that my work is valued and appreciated.
Sincerely,
Joe

Frequently Asked Questions

Unfortunately no. Wedding and Family Portraits require a special skill set that, as a landscape and nature photographer, I do not regularly hone. It also requires intimate knowledge of client preferences, style, and lighting, which is often better controlled in a studio environment.

In this day and age of AI-generated content, it’s hard to tell what is real and what is AI. My workflow is without AI enhancement and/or generation. I think the images should capture nature and wildlife in their truest form and it’s okay to take some artistic license, but the raw image/composition/lighting/subject need to be based in reality.
