Dont get cocky kid!
Bright sunny morning, little to no fog (finally!) and -1 degrees C. The majority of Iona beach was covered in a crystal veil of ice and dew. Not much wildlife except for a few Red-winged Blackbirds singing in the morning sun.
I used my 200-800 thinking ha! they are pretty stationary, I got ample light, I'll try a lower shutter speed to capture more detail. NOPE. Got cocky, ignored the rule of 2x the focal length (so at 800mm, I should be shooting 1/1600) and instead got a few semi-blurry images.
Photography rules are there for a reason; ignore them at your own peril.
I guess i can play it off as artistic, but in reality its a skill issue.
This was also 1/250 @ 800mm and even then its slightly out of focus due to the handshake, micro jitters, and slight movements of the bird
