A dyke a day keeps the dr away

Moochi and I are walking the dyke every day. It’s great for our physical and mental well-being as there is always something interesting to experience. Our traditional Richmond parks are filled with goose droppings in the winter season. Not sure why the city of richmond doesnt hire cleanup crews for the public parks. I see the kids playing and getting the poop everywhere, and that can’t be sanitary or safe for the kids and pets.

Today the heat haze (how can there be heat haze when it’s 2 degrees outside?) made this shot look like an impressionist painting.

Walking the dyke is addictive. We often go twice a day to capture the morning and evening golden hour. It’s probably tough on the old girl, but I figure the fresh air and sunshine are good for her and her congestive heart failure condition. As long as she doesn’t overly exert herself.
